Bryluen Hocking
Cornish block-print repeating surface patterns
Bryluen Hocking is a printmaker and surface designer working from a Penzance studio, cutting lino and potato blocks into repeat motifs drawn from the Cornish shore. Her work sits between fine print and homeware.
Bryluen Hocking turns Cornwall into pattern. Stylised waves, mackerel, scallop shells, gorse and ferns repeat across the surface as bold flat block-prints in a limited folk palette — decorative, hand-printed, made to tile across a wall or a cushion.
